During last few years I keep my eye on Rust. Its goals are very attractive and it becomes more and more mature every year.
Just couple of facts:
1. Mozilla Foundation already uses Rust in the latest Firefox you probably browse this blog :-)
2. Rust is the most loved programming language at Stackoverflow Web site.
3. Redmonk analytics charted Rust:
#47 place in 2016 year
#26 in March 2017
and ...
#23 in March 2018.
I quote: "This makes it more popular in these rankings than Clojure, Groovy, or Visual Basic, which is a significant achievement for a language that is prized for its safety but not considered as easy to pick up as other languages on this list."
